My Photos

These pictures represent my ongoing search, in the world we live in (as opposed to the world I create in my writing), for something worth seeing - sometimes in places we wouldn't usually think of looking.
Because of the nature of photography, this page is graphics-intensive; however, to try to keep download time under control (though a 14.4 will be here for a while) I have used thumbnails instead of full photos on the main page. If you want to see something in more detail, click on the thumbnail.

I am willing to consider displaying the work of “guest photographers,” and if applicable to link to their sites, on the conditions that:

You are either an amateur or a freelancer (no one who's “already made it”)
The photo is appropriate for an all-ages site
Your site, if linked to, is appropriate for all ages (if you have other kinds of photos, or other material on your site, but really want to show something here, I don't have to link to your site)
You link back to this page or my homepage (even if I choose not to link to your site)
Your submitted photo “fits in” with a photo page about the search for beauty in our everyday world

I'm not trying to be too picky, but this is an all-ages site, and I want to be up-front about what might be used and what will not. If you have pictures that would not be used here, they still may find a home somewhere else, but this is not it.
