History
Halfway home the princess made her camp within the woods,
For she and her horse were tired and it had become night.
Though eager to return again, she fell asleep contented
Rebuilding of the Temple might soon be within sight
Early in the night she heard a sound amidst the darkness
She awoke and looked around to find what was the truth
As best as she could figure, the noises, they were coming
From a creature magic-shielded and a goblinoid uncouth
She bid them halt but still they ran, unheeding of her royal words
She called upon her deity to help her harness their attention
Mounting her steed, she asked for no more than a splash of heated liquid
Fru'ilnt granted, and the goblin ran in her direction.
So then she called again upon the power of her goddess,
“Let my horse speak with me, because I cannot fight alone.”
Her horse replied, “Should we not be gone from here? This seems a bit unsafe,
That fell creature coming at us is the ugliest I've known.”
“We cannot let the ugly creature harm the small one in our kingdom.
When we find things evil happening, it is our charge to stop it.
Fear not, my steed, remember that you do not stand alone.
Your hooves, my staff, our deity will be enough to drop it.”
So as the creature chargéd them, the horse prepared to raise a hoof
A crash ensued, and goblin teeth bounced off into the distance
Angered, it clawed cruelly into the noble horse's flesh
The priestess called her goddess, who repaired it in an instant.
Perhaps 'twas not a fair fight, for when the small one joined in as well,
It was one gobliniod against four determined to succeed:
The small one fighting for his sister; the goddess bright Fru'ilnt;
Her priestess, princess Melea; and Wildflower, noble steed!
