Spirits of Magic
The Spirits of Magic can be an unpredictable lot to say the least. Being creatures of the arcane arts their clerics are few and far between, there are a few though who feel the call of both the arcane and divine nature of the Spirits. Their temples are however sights to behold for those who have the opportunity to see one. Unlike many of the other deities the temples of the Spirits aren't uniform to any other temple in layout or aesthetic design. The temples will always have some from of illusion or transmutation spells inherent in the structure, though the appearance is often changed for ceremonial purposes.
The spirits as a general rule do not interfere directly with mortal affairs, but the extremely devout, powerful, or studious may be granted favor upon occasion. There is no one symbol for the clerics of the Spirits, but every cleric will have a symbol that has been graced with the Spirit's power which is recognized by fellow Clerics. Avatars of the Spirits are much more common than seeing one of the spirits themselves. When an avatar visits the material plane they generally with take on the appearance of a young child (there seems to be no preference as to race or gender) dressed in a hooded robe with many well-sewn pockets on the outside as well as the inside. They almost always have an air of calm innocents about them that can make dealing with them somewhat disconcerting at times. If the Spirits themselves travel to the material plane it is to attend a matter in which they have a personal stake. If it is a matter of war all but the most resilient of creatures will fall to the Spirits might as entire mountains turn to mud, or armies of elemental allies are brought into the fray. The Spirits are mindful of the destruction they and their followers can bring (not just clerics) and so do not unleash their full power carelessly.
