For some reason I went through a phase a while back where I was munching on tomatoes like crazy. It had been over for a few weeks just before the salmonella warning…and then, the moment I couldn’t get tomatoes on anything or find them in the store, I started wanting tomatoes all the time.

Aren’t they pretty? DO WANT!!!
I stand by what I say

I should’ve known it’d be a mistake to have this many tellers of bad jokes visiting the same site. Apparently I’m being punished for my lack of foresight.

I still think you should make a garden on your balcony. Then you could have tomatoes whenever you wanted.

I’ll need to get fresh potting soil for that. I had a few things going, but when I was cross-ventilating the apartment. the cats chewed up the plants and…over-fertilized the dirt that was out there. The good news is, that’s now the most environmentally friendly part of the landfill.

So now the think the contaminated tomatoes could have come from either the packers or the shippers. They have no freaking clue.
However, we once again have tomatoes (different source this time, I can tell). I had forgotten how much I hated that tomato slicer…

I’m starting to think that Avrila must have died from poisoned tomatoes, because she hasn’t said ANYTHING in so long…

Tomatoes, Peppers, now Cilantro. Guess Salsa is like holding a gun to my head.

Nope, not quite dead yet
Kind of really wanting salsa now though. Thanks Dad. Now the first thing I do when I get home has to be a trip to Baja Fresh (if I can get home while they’re even open…)
