Upgraded 6 hours after it rolled out, instead of 3 extra weeks of having to tolerate known bugs and security holes. I heart this automatic upgrade plugin.

New Plugin and Upgraded to 2.3
Posted by Avrila
No more waiting for Fantastico’s obnoxious 2-week turnaround times; I downloaded WPAU and used it to upgrade to WordPress 2.3. It looks so far like nothing broke, I think. Now to figure out tags…
OpenID

Big news: After mucking about in WordPress PluginLand and playing with code a bit, I think I’ve got it right–OpenID users (including LiveJournal bloggers) can now use that identity here.

Added this. Seems like it’s going to be easier than trying to shrink the countdown ticker into the sidebar, for sure.
Changed means of hiding changelog from main page

I’m now using this instead. Why? It works better and doesn’t break things. That should be reason enough.
Finally, another web site update!

Added Photos page. Actual new photos to follow shortly.
Poll of the Month changes

Closed February’s poll (“Is February Cursed?”).
Results:
No (75%)
Only the sunny days (25%)
Yes (0%)
Total Votes: 4*
*And WeatherMod was three of them, I’m fairly sure![]()
Opened March’s poll (“How evil are tests?”).
This poll’s theme is inspired by all the fun I’ve been having lately with freaking out about not having my admission ticket from ETS (story to follow separately), unit tests, yet another round of TESA testing for the fifth graders to deal with…very annoying
Kicked poll archive page until it started working (still needs work, but it’s better than it was).
